    Karol Bachura

    Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Albania

     

    Ambassador Karol Bachura has passed all stages of the diplomatic career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, getting to the  MFA on the way of winning the internal competition in 1993. In the head office of MFA he has worked in the departments of Europe (1993-1996), Export Policy and Security Policy (2001-2007), and since 2013 in the Department of the Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience in the region of Southeastern Europe. He has worked in the diplomatic missions accredited in Ljubljana on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Budapest and Zagreb – in the last two years serving as the Deputy Head of Mission. In the years 2007-2011 he was Ambassador in Macedonia, and in 2011-2013, with the rank of Titular Ambassador, he served as Deputy High Representative (with the mandate of the UN Security Council) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he was the Head of Regional Office of the High Representative in Banja Luka. He is co-author of the Skopje Conference and the Tbilisi Conference – a platform for exchange of experience on the Polish road to EU associated countries, based on the model of Polish-Dutch Utrecht Conference started in the late 90s. He is fluent in English and Hungarian, also knows French, German , Slovenian, Croatian, Macedonian, Serbian and Bosnian.

     

     

    Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Albania Karol Bachura presented letters of credence to President of the Republic of Albania Bujar Nishani on 15 September 2016 at 12:00 pm.
